(Covers ch 14-16[first half] of the manga). Another great adaptation, the studio even did a little revision on the sequencing of events which is a good move. The different colored balls of light in the reward was definitely unnecessary. They could have just stayed with the heightened lighting 😒. The art and animation was also good. I've got to say that the expression of Himari during the reward was on par with the manga.

The emotional connection between yachiho and himari is something beautiful, feels like crying happy tears. I love their bond.

Episode Context

Episode 5 shifts the spotlight squarely onto sibling dynamics, pitting Himari Azuma against her sister Yachiho in a high-intensity training match that doubles as an emotional proving ground. The tone runs hot, equal parts competitive fire and unresolved family tension, while the action choreography steps up considerably from previous episodes. Seven Arcs delivers kinetic fight sequences that reward attention to tactical decision-making rather than brute force alone. Beneath the spectacle, the episode mines genuine character depth, exploring what it means to compete against someone you're bound to by blood. The pacing stays tight and propulsive, rarely letting up once the match begins. Ecchi elements remain present but take a backseat to the combat and character work. This is the kind of mid-season episode that sharpens the stakes and rewards investment in the cast.
