Episode Context

Coming off 'The Return of the Ancestor,' which repositioned the Aogiri family in Matsubara and deepened the hagoromo investigation, this episode pivots inward to examine who Toya actually is beneath his enigmatic exterior. At episode 15 of 24, the series is entering its back half, and grounding Toya's personal history here is essential groundwork. It feeds directly into 'Another Ceres,' where the celestial maiden's reach over present-day lives demands fully developed character stakes to land with impact.
