Hate what their parents did.. it's their birthday yet got some cult relatives trying to kill them for some reason, i really thought its just a romance story of a high school girl.

Episode Context

As the series opener, this episode exists entirely in the space before the storm, no prior episodes to reference, just the careful architecture of a beginning. It plants every seed the season will grow from: the twins, the family, and the secrets the Mikage bloodline has buried. It leads directly into Episode 2, 'The Angel's First Kiss,' where the consequences of this birthday night begin to surface and the show shifts from slow-burn dread into active supernatural conflict.
