Episode Context

Episode 40 follows Episode 39's supernatural folktale featuring the Poverty God and Fortune God, shifting tone from the mystical into the historical-parable lane with the classic 'Three Arrows' story reframed around cats. Like the vast majority of the season, it operates as a fully standalone fairy-tale remix with no continuing plot threads to track. It connects to neither a preceding cliffhanger nor a setup for what follows, fitting the series' anthology rhythm heading into the final stretch of its 50-episode run.
