Episode Context

Sitting just under the one-fifth mark of the 70-episode run, this is a solid early-season entry that continues building Sakura's magical toolkit and her key relationships after the inventive time-loop scenario of 'Sakura's Never-Ending Day.' It reinforces the Sakura-Syaoran rivalry while keeping the card-capturing momentum alive. The next episode, 'Sakura, Toya, and Cinderella,' pivots to a school play setting, so this zoo outing represents one of the last purely adventure-focused episodes before the series briefly shifts gears into slice-of-life territory.
