Episode Context

Sitting at roughly the one-sixth mark of the full 70-episode series, this episode continues the Clow Card capture formula while introducing a more conceptually ambitious challenge after Episode 11's giant house adventure. It reinforces the growing dynamic between Sakura and Syaoran Li while demonstrating that the cards' powers are becoming increasingly abstract and dangerous. The time-manipulation theme here sets a precedent for the series tackling more complex magical concepts in episodes ahead.
