The narrative thrust of this episode revolves around a local dungeon. Usually, a dungeon dive in anime means dark corridors, life-or-death stakes, and gritty combat. Here? It's basically a high-end gourmet shopping spree. Fel, the legendary Fenrir, pushes a deeply reluctant Mukouda into the cave solely because he heard the boss monsters inside taste incredible. The contrast between Mukouda's sheer, shaking panic and Fel’s casual attitude creates incredible comedic timing. Watching Fel effortlessly obliterate high-ranking monsters just to bring back pristine cuts of "Rock Bird" meat is a running gag that never gets old. While Fel provides the muscle, the absolute MVP of the episode is the adorable baby slime, Sui. This episode heavily showcases Sui's evolution from a helpless little blob into a surprisingly terrifying tactical asset. The second half of the episode shifts back to the show’s true heart: the cooking. Mukouda uses his "Online Supermarket" skill to get premium Japanese ingredients—specifically cornstarch, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic—to transform the freshly hunted Rock Bird into dynamic variations of Karaage (Japanese deep-fried chicken).

This anime makes you crave every food Mukouda cooks. I'm no Japanese but I want to eat them all! It makes me want to go to Japan and savor the authentic taste of each meals he make. I'm very glad that this series includes the recipe. Well, it does say in the title that it is cooking, what am I saying?! I like the connection of Mukouda and the gods of that world. It gave a playful but meaningful touch to the plot. Which I assume will help the MC to navigate the world. OP fighting is so good to watch (it wasn't really a fight in the first place because of how powerful the familiars are, LOL). It just made sense that wonderful cooking can boost anyone's powers. This applies in our world too. YOU LOT SHOULD ALSO BE EATING HAPPILY! ENJOY WHAT THIS WORLD HAS TO OFFER. Let's be the Mukouda of our life and fight off the monsters blocking our way! This is my comfort anime, and therefore, 5 STARS!

Watching this lately and it’s kinda interesting, more of a chill series if you are not chasing anything action-packed.

First I have to say the opening music for the show is superb. The episode starts out like a general isekai would, but goes bad faster than most. The relatability of his shopping skill really helps turn this sour situation into an unparalleled utopia. And then there's a legendary fluffy in the mix! I love cooking and pets, so this one's right up my alley.

Woww, I feel like season 2 will venture into other satisfying asmr-ridden topics outside of the food and cooking from Mukoda. We were already introduced to both soaps and bathtubs towards the end of this season, so hoping that momentum picks up!

Super cute finale, it was fun watching Mukhoda literally reason and banter with gods! That sub-plot is finally concluded and features characters that will definitely be recurring in the next season. Mukhoda also finally buys his bathtub, all the necessary payoffss

This felt like a normal episode ngl, like there was no major emotional finale & it ultimately feels pretty stagnant despite having lots of developments, like the rest of the story thus far. The characters and their interactions, alongside the wyvern meet was entertaining though!!

Watching Sui and Fel's teamwork was so entertaining, they work so well with one another despite being largely different both in personality and outward appearances. The way Sui sat on Fel's head was so wholesome :))

The pacing of this episode was crazy fastt like right after making a new trade deal and source of income suddenly there's the guild and a new threat. There was barely time for the audience to settle between the two.. it was noticeable because of how different the two plots were..
