Love to look at this as the first case the Agency ever handled. We immediately see the opposition in manners of life between both Ranpo and Fukuzawa but quickly see how their chemistry strengthened throughout. One of my most memorable moments is Ranpo being able “to see” for the first time as the color palette changes from black and white as he’s had a skewed vision of the world up until this moment

Fukuzawa and Ranpo investigate the strange case further, navigating tense interrogations and hidden motives. Ranpo’s bold claims about his “ability” begin drawing attention, while Fukuzawa quietly realizes the boy’s insight may be far more extraordinary than it seems.
