The military logic here made no sense at all. Preemptively scorching the whole are was infinitely more destructive than just letting Zearth fight. Complete military miscalculation. What a disaster episode.

I've searched the manga for this specific episode and yeah it ended in a different way. Though I much prefer this episode than the manga one. Here it's redemption, in the manga it did not feel like it. But on the other note, I enjoyed both!
