Episode Context

Episode 3 serves as the critical bridge between the origin-story prologue of the first two episodes and the academy training arc that will define the season's first half. With Rin's demonic heritage revealed and his guardian lost, this episode plants him in True Cross Academy and immediately establishes the Rin-Yukio dynamic as the emotional backbone going forward. It introduces key players like Mephisto and fellow students who will shape alliances and rivalries throughout the remaining episodes.
