Brutal! No one is safe in this finale. There are a couple of things I wish were addressed in this episode, but overall I think it was a fine ending.
Not at all what I expected going into this anime, the plot ended up being way more complex than I thought it would be.
This was the poorest build-up I've ever seen in an anime. Thank the heavens that there's a Season 2 for this anime because if there was none, I effectively wasted 4.8 hours of my time. What a useless ending.
EPISODE CONTEXT
As the twelfth and final episode, 'If Remembering Me' serves as the culmination of every revelation, betrayal, and escalating conflict the season has methodically layered since its deceptively peaceful opening episodes. It follows directly from episode 11's boiling-point tensions, where the series' central mysteries cracked wide open. Importantly, this finale also functions as a bridge to the sequel film 'Blood-C: The Last Dark,' providing resolution to the season's core questions while intentionally setting the stage for Saya's story to continue.
