To see Toshiro actually smiling and just *being* a kid with Karin felt so fleeting, almost a dream, and it made my chest tighten a little. I can't help but wonder if these rare, unguarded moments are what he truly yearns for deep down, or if the burden of being a captain is just too ingrained in him now to ever fully let go.
