EPISODE REVIEWS

Seeing Ichigo have to relive his mom dying again was pretty brutal even if this whole arc is just filler

Episode Context

Sitting within the anime-original Kasumiōji arc, this episode follows directly from Ichigo being targeted by an assassin wielding a Bakkouto weapon, escalating the personal stakes against him. It continues to build toward the larger confrontation involving Amagai and the Gotei 13, layering in additional threats from the Kasumiōji clan. As a filler episode, it has no bearing on the manga's canon progression but serves as connective tissue within this extended original storyline.
