EPISODE REVIEWS

That reveal with Ulquiorra being alive the whole time made the entire struggle of the last few episodes feel like a massive prank

I still cannot believe Patras really thought he was doing something while Aizen just sat back and laughed because that Hogyoku was totally fake the whole time

Episode Context

Positioned deep within the broader Arrancar saga, Episode 137 is a filler installment that arrives after Episode 136's revelation of rogue Arrancar faction activity. While it doesn't advance the canon storyline, it expands on Aizen's menacing presence and the escalating threat level heading into the series' middle stretch. Canon viewers can skip without losing continuity, but it attempts to bridge the tension between earlier Arrancar encounters and the larger confrontations still ahead.
