Episode Context

Episode 131 wraps up the mini filler arc that began in Episode 130, where Hitsugaya and the Shinigami faced a cloning Arrancar threatening the town, this episode resolves those personal stakes, particularly for Rangiku and Shōta. It sits in a stretch of standalone filler episodes between major canon arcs, so it has no bearing on the overarching Bleach storyline. The next episode, 132, shifts to a considerably lighter tone with a Hitsugaya-and-Karin soccer outing.
