Episode Context

Episode 107 sits near the climax of the anime-original Bount Invasion arc, following Uryū Ishida and Ran'Tao's earlier encounter with Kariya and shifting the spotlight to Ichigo for the penultimate showdown. It directly bridges the arc's rising action into its final resolution, setting up the concluding clash in the episodes that follow. The canonical Soul Society arc is behind us, and the Bount filler arc is winding toward its endpoint before the series returns to manga-adapted material.
