Another peak and continuing the story from the original bleach show. With new animation, graphic and Kubo-sensei himself as supervisor for the anime production.

Such a great cliffhanger and a great way to end the first course of this arc! The animation quality was so good, too! Can't wait for the next season!

Seeing Aizen sitting there in the dark talking down to Yhwach was such a cool way to start things off and it shows who really has the control

It is crazy that the Visoreds had to be the ones to find Renji all beaten up in the rubble and start healing him while the palace falls apart

I finally saw Ichigo accept both sides of himself and it was everything he needed to actually fight back against the Quincy

When Gerard stood back up after what seemed like a decisive blow, my heart sank. Just as the captains believed they'd won, he transformed into that massive form, and I couldn't help but feel a chilling sense of dread about how truly outmatched they are.

Ichigo finally making it up to that throne room, only to find Uryu calmly standing beside Yhwach, just ripped my focus right off the battle – I legitimately gasped. My mind immediately raced back to all their fights together, and watching Ichigo's expression just crumble at the sight made me feel that sharp betrayal alongside him.

I cannot believe Gerard just grew that huge after Byakuya thought he finished him and seeing him tower over the entire courtyard like that was terrifying

My head is spinning after that reveal that old man Zangetsu is actually Yhwach from the past and has been holding Ichigo back this whole time

The way Askin just explained how his powers work while Ichigo was dying on the floor was cold and it makes the Quincy feel like actual threats

The visuals when Ichigo was forging his new dual blades were incredible, and it finally feels like he knows who he is.

Hearing that Pernida and Gerard are actually parts of the Soul King explains why they are so broken and the Shinigami look completely hopeless against them

The absolute devastation on Ichigo's face when he saw Uryu up at the palace just completely took my breath away. It's gotta be tearing him apart inside, seeing his friend like that, and I can't help but speculate there's a much bigger, more complex play Uryu's making that we just aren't seeing yet.

The explanation about how Gerard and Pernida always had their powers because they are parts of the Soul King made so much sense, and it makes the stakes feel so much higher than before when they were just regular Quincy, and seeing Ichigo finally catch up to Uryu only for him to be on the other side was a brutal way to end it

Gerard is absolutely terrifying because he just gets bigger and stronger whenever you try to kill him and I have no idea how the shinigami are supposed to stop a giant

Askin shrugging off that massive lightning attack from Yoruichi was wild because he basically became immune to her power in the middle of the fight

Shinji getting slammed into a tower by a giant shield shockwave was hard to watch because his shikai usually makes him feel so much safer than that

I am still trying to process that Uryu is actually standing there with the Quincy and seeing Ichigo look that shocked at the end of the episode really hurt

EPISODE CONTEXT

As episode 13 of 13, this serves as the cour two finale of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, capping off a stretch of episodes that systematically deconstructed Ichigo's understanding of his own origins and power. The preceding episode's heritage revelations feed directly into this installment's themes of self-acceptance and transformation. Rather than resolving the larger conflict, this finale functions as a crucial bridge — completing Ichigo's internal arc while setting the foundation for the battles and escalations that the next cour will demand.
