EPISODE REVIEWS

Yami and William's relationship goes much deeper than I thought! So many parallels to Asta and Yuno's rivalry, yet the dynamic is charmingly different. It makes their previous interactions bittersweet, it's like a frenemy relationship that fizzled out as the two led jarringly different lives.

Seeing Asta shut down like that was painfully real.. If I were in his shoes, I would have given up long ago! He's truly so inspirational for his signature "Its not over yet" mindset.

Episode Context

Sitting at the halfway mark of the series, this episode lands directly after the high-intensity Royal Knights Selection Exam, giving both the cast and the audience room to breathe before the narrative escalates again. Yami's backstory and his connection to William Vangeance receive meaningful setup here, threading directly into the next episode 'Yami and Vangeance,' which deepens these revelations and feeds into major plot developments ahead.
