A masterpiece of an episode! I didn't expect such incredible sequences from the Rill/Yuno battle. Thinking about it, the Yuno/Asta match being saved for later feels much more fitting!

Holy crap, the budget increase was incredible. The animation has literally never been better? The character's normal movements already feel so fluid, the battle scenes were just chefs kiss. Rill's beautiful magic ability is finally done justice!

Episode Context

Episode 84 closes out the Royal Knights Selection Exam arc, following the explosive Asta vs. Langris confrontation in the previous episode and now resolving the tournament's final match. This episode serves as a critical pivot point, everything that preceded it was about qualification and competition, while everything that follows shifts toward the formation of the Royal Knights and the larger threat they were assembled to face.
