Dragged out battle with Ladros, he's unnecessarily OP and is probably just there to fuel Asta's next power up, but new skills will be cool since we've been stuck with the same ones from Asta for a while now.

The way this episode kept playing back previous scenes felt so repetitive and made me lose immersion fast. Although the contents of the episode itself are pretty entertaining, it feels a bit more like a recap, more so when Asta had a lengthy flashback of defeating Fana to recount his motivations as a character and wrap things up properly.

LOL nevermind, Ladros is back to show how strong the character relationships are and stuff. Every time he appears I can't take him seriously because of his getup

I was genuinely tearing up when Mars and Fana finally recognized each other after all that Diamond Kingdom experimentation crap they had to suffer through

Ladros coming back after that explosion and absorbing Salamander was actually terrifying because he just looks unstoppable now and Asta is in serious trouble

I was finally happy for Fana and Mars getting a moment together but Ladros had to go and ruin it all and now Asta looks terrifying with that new transformation

Asta yelling about boosting each other up is why he is the best and Ladros represents everything wrong with the Diamond Kingdom and I hope he gets wrecked

That cliffhanger is illegal because seeing Asta start to transform like that and then the episode just ends is pure torture for everyone and next week can not come fast enough

Finding out Fana was being controlled this whole time was a lot and it makes everything she did so much more tragic and she deserved that hug from Mars before the explosion

Ladros is such a nightmare after absorbing Fana's spirit and the power gap feels way too big for Asta to handle on his own without a miracle

The art style felt a bit off at times during the fight, but that shot of Asta covered in black sludge at the very end totally made up for the stiff animation earlier

Ladros taking the salamander spirit makes him such a creep and it shows how much he sucks compared to Asta and his friends actually caring about each other instead of just stealing power

I am honestly kind of shook by the Witch Queen just casually awakening the devil in Asta for her own gain and the contrast between Ladros being a selfish jerk and the Black Bulls supporting each other is so clear now Ladros becoming a flame monster was cool but Asta going half demon is the only way to shut Ladros up

Ladros is such a psycho and the way he treats power is the total opposite of Asta but the animation looked a bit rough in some of those fighting scenes and it was distracting

The animation looked a little bit weird in some of those background shots and the lines were all squiggly but the story with Mars and Fana finally meeting again was actually really sweet

I can't believe the Witch Queen is actually stepping in, but that cliffhanger at the end with Asta's arm turning black has me completely losing my mind

Ladros coming back after sucking up the salamander was terrifying and the way he looks like a totally different monster now is a huge problem for everyone

Ladros is such a jerk for what he did to the salamander and it makes things so frustrating but seeing Asta just chuck his sword while the guy was mid monologue was the best thing all week because usually characters just stand there and listen to the villain talk forever and Asta just does not have time for that nonsense today

Ladros absorbing the salamander is so messed up and he really is a monster for just using others as tools while Asta is over here talking about lifting everyone up

I really liked the contrast between Asta talking about his friends and Ladros being a total jerk who only cares about himself, and that sword throw was actually a really clever move for someone who usually just screams and hits things, plus that ending with the Witch Queen manipulating Asta's blood to wake up his inner demon is such a crazy way to end it

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting deep within the Witches' Forest Arc, episode 62 follows directly from the revelations and confrontation in 'The Promised World,' pushing the conflict forward as new threats emerge and alliances shift around Asta and his allies. This is a pivotal escalation point roughly a third of the way through the series' 170-episode run, where character dynamics established earlier in the arc begin paying off in combat. It sets the stage for the arc's climactic stretch, deepening the entangled fates of Mars, Fana, and Ladros.
