I watched Zora at his dad grave and that Zara backstory actually made me care about why he acts so bitter toward the other magic knights

Zara Ideale being the first peasant to make it into the magic knights was exactly what this training arc needed to feel grounded

Learning about Zara being the first peasant knight made me see Zora in a totally different light and it makes his prickly attitude make so much more sense

The moment Zora admitted he actually enjoys being in the Black Bulls was so sweet, especially since he spent the whole time helping that kid Ina find some confidence

This proves filler can actually be decent if it focuses on Zora and his past because seeing him reflect on his father Zara felt very grounded

It was so satisfying when Zora exposed that noble Kaito for cheating, because it just proves that status doesn't mean you have actual talent or a heart

Wish we got some actual power progression for Zora instead of just another story about how nobles are mean to peasants because we have seen this a dozen times already

The way Zara Ideale was the first peasant knight makes his death feel even heavier and Zora carrying on that legacy is a great part of his character

I usually skip anime original stuff but Zora is my favorite character and I loved seeing him mentor Ina, it really felt like his father was still looking out for people through him. Seeing that peasant boy stand his ground against a noble jerk was such a good reminder of what this series is actually about even when the main plot slows down and training takes a back seat.

The message about peasants having their own unique strengths really landed well, especially with the way Zora guided that kid.

kaito getting his ego crushed by zora was the best part because zora always knows exactly how to put those arrogant nobles in their place

zora realizing he actually needs to train with the other black bulls at the end was great because it shows he is finally opening up to having a team

zora finally getting his own episode is all i wanted and seeing him defend that kid ina from the noble guy was so good because it shows zora actually cares about the future of peasants

Ina standing up to that arrogant noble was the best part because it shows how anyone can be a magic knight with enough grit

That moment at the end where Zora looks at the grave is so heavy because you can tell he finally understands his dads dream

This felt like one of those anime original episodes that actually matters because it explores Zora in a way the manga skipped over

why didn't zora just tell the kid that he was zaras son because that would have been such a huge moment for the village and the theme of the episode

seeing zora back at his dads grave made me sad because he spent so long being a loner and now he is actually going back to the black bulls to train

I have been waiting forever for a Zora focus and this episode delivered so much on his backstory and his dad

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 138 of 170, this falls squarely within a personal-growth stretch for the Black Bulls, directly following episodes where characters like Charmy and Gordon pursued individual development arcs. Zora's spotlight continues this trend, fleshing out his motivations and backstory before the narrative shifts focus to Vanessa's own journey in the subsequent episode, 'A Witch's Homecoming.' It's a deliberate cooldown phase that deepens the roster ahead of the series' final act.
