EPISODE REVIEWS

This show really takes the horror seriously and the mystery of the carbonized bodies makes the investigation feel like a proper detective thriller with a twisted supernatural edge

Episode Context

As Episode 1 of 6, 'Revival' carries the full weight of reintroduction, there is no preceding episode to lean on, so the series builds its world from the ground up here. Central figures like Kaori Saeki and Kurumi Imari are positioned as the twin axes around which the season's occult conflict will rotate. The next episode, 'Reunion,' directly inherits the consequences set in motion here, making 'Revival' essential connective tissue for everything that follows.
