Very very cute episode, we get not only one but two small kisses. The animation for the sword battle was so much better than I would have expected from this anime, it was really fluid and well choreographed.

This is an exciting and interesting episode. The interaction between Marie and Louis-phon is quite funny. Furthermore, Louis-phon and Kyuros's past is so hilarious and chaotic. And then Marie and Kyuros develops their relationship further.

It is a wholesome episode. The tone was mischievous and interesting as Luiphon and Mio were. Peak so far! The intensity of the match, along with its cool animation and visuals, were perfect! Quite a facade on that facial expression of Kyros upon seeing Marie was hilarious! And that ending scene was a mystery yet to uncover.

Episode Context

Sitting at the near-midpoint of a 12-episode run, Episode 5 pivots from the previous episode's focus on personal expression and interests toward external challenges and concealed identities. This builds on the relationship groundwork laid in the first act while introducing new dynamics and a mysterious figure likely to impact the back half of the season. It's a clear setup episode, deepening character complexity and planting seeds for revelations that should pay off as the series approaches its midseason turning point.
