Episode Context

Positioned at the two-thirds mark of the season, this episode deepens the Tower of Conviction arc that escalated in Episode 7's 'The Black Witch,' where Guts arrived at Albion and clashed with the pagan cult. 'Reunion in the Den of Evil' pushes the core cast further into conflict and sets critical groundwork for Episode 9's 'Blood Flow of the Dead,' where the consequences of these confrontations begin to spiral outward.
