Episode Context

Coming off the secluded mountain training arc, episode 23 marks a significant narrative pivot roughly a third of the way through the series by physically relocating the cast to the Demon World. This transition raises the supernatural stakes considerably beyond the school-based conflicts of earlier episodes. It sets the stage for a stretch of Demon World adventures that will deepen the mythology and introduce key characters who factor into the larger story ahead.
