This episode was a breath of fresh air after the big fight between Oga and Tojo. It’s funny how unserious this episode is. This seems like a very light and fun filler episode after a heavy one, so it's still a good watch!

Episode Context

Coming off the intense combat of Episode 21, this episode functions as a deliberate palette cleanser, a character-focused interlude that gives the cast room to develop before the stakes escalate again. It introduces Kunieda's grandfather and deepens her dynamic with Oga in a low-pressure setting. Starting with Episode 23, the series shifts into the Demon World arc, making this the last stop for lighthearted mountain-village comedy before things get significantly more serious.
