This episode still shows the slow pacing and established the cinematic atmosphere, it feels more like an aged drama than a traditional sports anime. Though, the character writing is becoming more interesting.
While I like the general plot and story, I can't help but nitpick how adult-like and stoic Takumi acts. Gou actually feels much more like a kid his age. That said, Takumi isn't perfectly mature. He still has this childish arrogance in him, but his overall personality is simply too mature for someone his age, at least for my liking. Watching Takumi feels more like watching an adult than a 12-year-old child.
Biar masih anak-anak pun, aku masih ga paham sama sikap Takumi. Aku perlu konteks supaya bisa paham kenapa dia kayak gini. Agak menjengkelkan, sih. Tapi, aku yakin ada alasannya, yang mana menunjukkan anime ini bagus sejauh ini dalam menggambarkan karakter utama.
