Synopsis
At only 12 years old, Takumi Harada is already hailed as a prodigious baseball pitcher. But when his family moves to the backwater town of Nitta, Takumi has no choice but to join his new school's unskilled baseball team. This development has little effect on the boy, as he believes it is more interesting if this no-name club becomes a powerhouse due to his presence. However, due to his overwhelming talent, Takumi is in need of a catcher able to keep up with his pitches. His worries are soon put to rest after meeting Gou Nagakura. As his fan and fellow student, Gou is eager to prove that he is not a simple braggart, but rather a player skillful enough to catch Takumi's pitches. Amid struggling to form a battery with Gou, Takumi comes into conflict with his new teammates due to his irreverent personality but grapples to find the true joy of the sport under his grandfather's guidance.

Seriously, what's wrong with Takumi, bro? It's not like everyone is his enemy. Like, come on! I really don't get his attitude at all!
Well well well!!
Shocking emang. Tapi aku masih nggak terlalu suka gimana Takumi malah membawa pengaruh buruk untuk teman-temannya. Rules are rules.
The ending was not something that I expected, it was somehow disappointing because it doesn't make sense the emotion that has been build then not has been used to expand the storyline to give the details in some scenes.
The pacing of this episode is so slow though I like how the narration feels more emotionally centered as it become an introspective
I don't see any interesting plot in this episode though the storyline is line however the pacing remains slow
I don't like the pacing of this episode, it is much slower than the previous one and it doesn't match for the vibe of the sports themed anime, though the storyline is fine
Si Takumi nih kenapa sih? Kalo aku ga dapat penjelasan kenapa dia sok penting dalam 2-3 episode, aku bakal jengkel banget sih. Kayaknya dia bakal belajar in a hard way. Aku hanya nggak setuju aja kalau plot berkembang dengan karakter utama berkarakter buruk kek dia.
Let me be clear first. While the story is very well written, this series isn't really about baseball, but rather friendship and rivalry. I don't really have a problem with that either, but when I watch a sports anime, I'm looking for hype and excitement. Now, getting into the story, it's actually great. If you're really into melodrama, you'll probably enjoy this a lot. That said, personally, I didn't really like this show that much. It just feels way too bland for me since I was expecting something much more energetic. The characters, especially the main character, are pretty mediocre in my opinion. To be honest, I don't really like Takumi at all. He's just way too stoic and arrogant without much reason. I'd probably like him more if there was enough context as to why he's like that, but there simply isn't. The pacing also wasn't to my liking. What disappointed me the most was how the ending played out. I just feel like all that tension and emotional build-up ended up going nowhere. Craftsmanship-wise, it's definitely great. The visuals are nice, and the animation is also pretty good. The direction is great too. It really makes the emotional scenes hit harder. Overall, I'd rate this series a 5/10. While I think the story is good, it's just not my cup of tea.
This ending is really disappointing. Not only did we not get a proper wrap-up to the episode, but the thing I was looking forward to the most didn't happen at all! Like, what am I even watching now? I feel like all that emotional build-up was wasted just like that.
While I love the lightheartedness of this episode, to be honest, I find it a little boring. The narration is good, but it just isn't that engaging until the latter part. That said, the pacing is really, really slow. I really feel that Gou and Takumi's character development has stagnated over the past two episodes.
This is getting way too melodramatic now, really. While I don't have any issues with it, I just can't help but feel dissatisfied, especially with how slowly the story is progressing now.
To be honest, this episode is a bit too dramatic for my liking. The pacing is also pretty slow, and the narration goes a bit too deep. To be fair, though, the story itself is fine.
I like how interesting the comedic side of this episode, however the pacing remains slow though so the balance of the action and character are engaging.
I love how this episode feels more closer to a traditional sports themed anime and this episode still prioritizes the character drama then added focus on the game that gives the story a sense of momentum
