Ryu taking Kyoko to his old apprentice bar was a nice touch. The Martini scene was beautifully animated. This show makes you appreciate the craft behind every drink. Learning so much about cocktails just by watching.

There’s a nice balance between calm atmosphere and emotional depth. The pacing remains steady, and the interactions feel genuine, which keeps the episode engaging without needing dramatic moments.

Episode Context

After the first three episodes established the world and introduced the competitive pursuit of the 'Glass of God,' episode four pivots inward, trading external stakes for personal growth and the mentor-student dynamic between Ryu and Kyoko. Positioned a third of the way through the twelve-episode season, it deepens character foundations that will clearly pay off as later episodes present greater challenges. This shift toward mentorship and individuality sets the stage for the cast to confront more nuanced obstacles in their dedication to mixology.
