Miwa worrying is sweet. The way this show handles grief and moving on is so gentle. Hayase's work dilemma felt very real. The bar scenes continue to be visually stunning. Every episode leaves me feeling a little warmer inside.

The episode maintains its steady rhythm while adding more emotional weight. I liked how it stays consistent with its tone while still feeling meaningful.

Not my most favorite episode as I disliked the professor but well the mix sure was interesting and the xmas theme was also pretty lovely! Let's see what the last episode has to offer us though.

Episode Context

Positioned as the penultimate act of a 12-episode season, 'A Thorn in the Heart' directly follows the revelations of episode 9's 'North Wind,' where a figure from Ryu's past resurfaced and shook his composure. This episode processes those emotional aftershocks while threading Hayase's storyline toward a decisive turning point, setting the stage for the final stretch beginning with 'Bar Kaze / A Heartfelt Recipe', where these lingering personal conflicts will demand resolution.
