Solid wrap-up, though the war turning in the Abh's favor felt a bit too convenient and abrupt. That said, the quiet character beats land hard, especially Jinto finally calling the Basroil his home. Lafiel's closest thing to a confession is oddly sweet given how emotionally repressed Abh are written. An ending that is worth to watch, thumbs up!

the finale and it lands exactly as it should — not with a dramatic climactic battle but with resolution, reunion, and the quiet sense of a chapter closing. the main fleet arriving to end the battle for Aptic Gate, Jinto and Lafiel reunited with their crew aboard the newly rebuilt Basroil, and the simple fact of continuing — of surviving and going forward together — is handled with the understated grace that defines everything this show does best. Lafiel's earlier admission about wanting to go through all three stages of life — officer, merchant, parent — lands with entirely different weight here now that you've watched her command through a war. a beautiful and honest conclusion.

Instead of delivering a thrilling tactical conclusion to the massive starship conflict, the episode hand-waves the final defeat of the United Mankind fleet through dry off-screen strategy discussions and sterile briefing summaries.
