At first I thought that this was not that good because of the animation used but as I continue to watch, it seems that there's a chance that it'll be interesting in the next episodes.

This episode is a brilliant setup, It immediately creates a sense of dread with that opening flash-forward, then it pulls you into a tense political situation on the ground. It's a huge shift from the space battles of the previous seasons, but it's a welcome change. The stakes are personal, the conflict is complicated, and Jinto is going to have to use every ounce of his diplomatic skill to survive.

I'm watching this series for the very first time. This is like my introduction to it, lol. I was drawn to the title but I'd be lying if I say I don't regret watching this. That said, what I'll put here would be more on the technical stuff and maybe a bit of the plot points per episode. This particular ep literally starts with a 'tragedy' of sorts. So much for an intro XD They're also pretty heavy on the dialogue, they lowkey lost me on that. I do like the animation somehow, especially when viewing it from the perspective of when this was released (2001). It's smooth, so to speak, although there was that 90s filter of sorts, too glowy or sparkly, I suppose? Though I'm liking the simplicity in design when it comes to their faces. It's a bit disorienting with the movements of the frames. Hmm, I guess if I'd describe it, it's like when you spam a PowerPoint presentation with lots of slide animations, lol.
