This was a nice change as this episode spends most of its time outside the school and the dojo, it also introduces a new character through a chance encounter. The pacing here was easy to watch even though it is handling three separate plots. Seeing the kendo store here was nice and interesting, and also the double sword match here was staged with enough clarity to see the techniques used.

What a bizarre turn of events that was. I'm not against it but I think that was literally a form of filler. Well, sort of. A filler used to push a character's decision which is OK with me. Not 100% filler but definitely the most random fight so far (still interesting). So far I'm 50-50 on Dan-kun as a character. Can't decide if I like him or hate him. Tough.
