BAKUMATSU Crisis
Oshimeter
Synopsis
The Bakumatsu was an era in which the souls of young men burned with anxiety for their country's future. Takasugi Shinsaku, a soldier of fortune from Choshu, sneaks aboard a government ship with his comrade Katsura Kogorou in search of a mysterious "timepiece" with the power to manipulate time that he fears the government wishes to keep for themselves. Rather than allow such power to fall into the wrong hands, Takasugi plans to destroy the artifact, but having obtained it, the artifact is quickly stolen, forcing the pair to follow the mysterious thief to the seat of government in Kyoto. However, when they arrive in the capital, they discover that the government has been overthrown and the deity Susanoo now reigns in its place. The streets of the city and the people in them are much different than Takasugi and Katsura remembered. The times may have changed but their mission hasn't - Takasugi and Katsura resolve to reset time and save their nation from the nefarious forces trying to hijack it.

In the end, what is this anime trying to do? The story is such a let down. The battle scenes are bad. Too many holes and missing explanation throughout the series. So Hijikata comes back just like that? No punishment at all? No redemption arc or at least him saying anything other then ORE WAA ORE WAAA? I won't recommend this anime at all as it's such a waste of time.
I really don't understand. Why do they even bother making those enemies looked really strong when they got defeated in just like.. a few slashes? Since this episode is very close to the ending, I really hope it'd get better. But well, shouldn't really get my hopes up then.
The battle scenes are as bad as ever. They seem lazy and make it looks like an anime with very low budget. I mean, they wanna portrayed the Susanoo as incredibly strong force. But all of them were defeated way too easily. So, what was even the point?
There are some things I don't quite understand. So all this time, Mugensai II is controlled by the chronometer? But he just got it in his hands, so, how? I got this conclusion because when Kondo tries to persuade him, Mugensai shows a slight crack in the personality, as if all of his plans were made under the influence of the chronometer. But how, exactly.....?
I dont know it feels like they're so slow with the story and then speed up all of a sudden and then back with the slow pace again? I hope Mikado is okay though :(
So this episode provides some important explanation related to chronometer.. But a lot of things are not explained properly, leaving gaps in the explanation.
This episode is quite funny. It's fun watching Takasugi messing up while time stops and all lmao. But as always, the fighting scenes aren't good at all. Short and bland.
Mikado not knowing direction is fun to watch. But why cant he fight for himself, or defense himself? Is that something revealed in the previous season? :/ and the fighting scene still lame.
I still think the fighting scenes are so bad. If it's not an samurai-themed anime, it'd be okay (perhaps). But this.. sighs. Also it's getting boring since they keep on repeating the plot. Chronometer appears > Clash between Shinsengumi and Takasugi's group > Chronometer disappeared.
The fight against the tiger made me laugh. It literally looks so cheap.. Izo's character is surprisingly funny haha
Honestlyy I understand that this serve as the 2nd season. But having this many characters show up in just the first two episodes is a bit.. too much, i think? The fighting scene is a bit better than the previous episode though, just slightly.
For an anime with samurai theme, the fight scene is very bland. Although the characters are handsome haha
Fight scenes are ok again. This is the 2nd episode before the last and I was hoping there are flashy effects. Some comedic scenes and still have a mystery vibes. Just hoped that they add more context to it and history.
The Twelve Commanders are awesome on their own right! Those fight scenes are just ok. Not bad but not great. I wish they could add more in the face scenes. It feels like you are watching an anime that was rushed or out of budget. Hoping that it will improve in the next episodes.
Alright, We are finally warming up! This episode has great mysteries solved in the series. Worth the watch and do not skip. I was not expecting that and cant wait what will happen in the coming episodes. Awesome buildup
Ah, slow episode until now. There are some scenes that are interesting but most of it are meh at the least.. Can skip but this would let you miss some crucial parts in the future so it's up to the viewer.
This episode is for Seimei. Dont skip tho as it answers the history of the Chronometer. The story is a bit slow considering its on it's 7th episode. Hopefully there is a large action scenes in the next episodes as a comeback.
Haha funny episode. Wish they could have done more on this episode specially most of us are thinking if everything is motionless. A lot of funny scenes. Mugensai is quite awesome and mysterious in his own way.
Ahh, Historical Ninja. I recognized it from a mile away. Hahaha. Some scenes here are funny and I like Hyo and Kasumi soo much and they are very cute. Hahaha wish to see more of them.
It shows the power of the chronometer. I think it can transport almost anything and hopefully they can shed some light on its history and how they can use it to their advantage. Animation is Okay. no fight scenes tho.
