📖 SYNOPSIS

Set during the turbulent Bakumatsu era, the anime follows Takasugi Shinsaku and Katsura Kogorou, soldiers from Choshu, driven by their concern for Japan's future. They infiltrate a government ship in search of a powerful "timepiece" capable of manipulating time, fearing its potential misuse. Their intention is to destroy the artifact, but it is stolen, leading them to Kyoto. Upon arrival, they find the government overthrown and the deity Susanoo ruling in its place, with the city and its inhabitants drastically altered. Despite the unexpected changes, Takasugi and Katsura remain committed to their mission. They resolve to reset time and save their nation from the forces attempting to control it, facing an altered reality and an uncertain future. The series explores themes of national identity, the dangers of unchecked power, and the struggle to shape one's destiny.
