I didn't expect to get another POV about Ibuki and her past with Emi here but that story really explained a lot more into what happened. Love how they do perspective shifts here

Love the part about the scriptwriter. The subtlety of the topic's heaviness is portrayed so cleanly, especially when it panned to the present time

Interestingly, the mini scenes in this episode have strong individual storytelling. The visuals are as pretty as ever, elevating the monologues

A pretty good episode that relies arpund How someone Desire, Acceptance, and Regret aroun Performing Teater around Awajima. Very Mixed Emotion, but blend pretty good with the rest of episode

Tabata asking if they regret coming to Awajima is such a heavy way to end things and you can tell it really hit everyone right where it hurts

You can really see the difference between having the flower and just working hard, and the way the other girls turned on Emi for being better was terrifying to watch

Watching Yukari scan that board and finding nothing was just devastating and it makes you feel how heavy her mothers expectations really were

I really thought this show would be lighter but this episode was just generational trauma after generational trauma and seeing Katsurako bully Emi because of her own grandmothers coldness was so hard to watch and that ending with her thinking of Emi even on her deathbed really shows how that kind of envy just eats you alive until there is nothing left

The way every character keeps saying sore demo over and over again really highlights how they are all just trapped in this cycle of trying to prove they belong

I was so moved by the way Shinji wrote all those lies about his mom just to make her human and then seeing them act it out for the magazine was just gut wrenching
