To the penultimate episode, everyone else's goals intersects and Erwin's bold strategy pays off. We see a glimpse of how vulnerable even Bertholdt becomes when confronted by the reality that he did cause a lot of suffering to the people within the walls. Interesting to see such a moment from the side of an antagonist.
