Are you a hero or a traitor or both? Thats the question for this ep. Good people killing good people for the "right" reasons. There are no villain here just impossible choices. Connie's scream at the end will haunt you 💔💔

Yet again, this show amazes with its emotional depth and groundless characterization for even side characters. Everyone's emotions of betrayal and motivations for justice were all valid despite how they contrasted one another.

This episode recontextualized how the scouts felt about Reiner and Bertolt's betrayal originally for me. They were all controlled by the narrative they had to follow, which dictated what was morally right for them at different stages/

This was a really hard watch.. not only did I sympathize with Connie and Armin, but also Daz and Samuel. The betrayal felt mutual yet neither wanted to kill the other.

The alliance acts, and it’s painful to watch. Friends turn on friends in intense combat that carries heavy emotional consequences.

The fight in the port was very intense. Everything was going wrong in an instant. Armin tried to speak, Mikasa tried to fight, and Conny was forced to make a very hard decision. It was very hard to watch

Things escalate FAST!!!! The tension spikes again and it feels like everything is about to blow. This IS the kind of episode that makes you say “one more” even though it’s already late and I am not regretting getting not enough sleep for this!

The amount of betrayal in this episode is so much! Now our favorite side has been divided to two sides! I really feel bad for the soldiers! The amount of actions in this episode is so peak! Must Watch!

Ideals shatter at the harbor. Diplomacy dies fast as friends turn rifles on each other. Armin bleeds for peace, Conny stains his hands to save it. The port battle is chaotic, tragic, inevitable, stopping genocide means becoming what you fear.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly after the campfire reckoning of 'Night of the End,' where fragile alliances were tested through painful honesty, 'Traitor' converts that emotional groundwork into irreversible action — characters stop debating and start committing. As episode 10 of 12, this is the fulcrum point of Part 2's endgame, transforming internal conflict into external momentum that feeds directly into 'Retrospective' and the season's final stretch.
