Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge
Oshimeter
Synopsis
On the beautiful banks of the Arakawa River, it is lively as ever. Now known as "Recruit," Kou Ichinomiya has adjusted to the troubles his unconventional neighbors brew daily. However, the atypical scene is about to get even rowdier when their community adds a couple of oddball enthusiasts: a tall, muscular woman calling herself Amazoness, followed by her loyal Tengu henchmen; and Captain, self-proclaimed Commander of Earth's Defense Force against Venusians. In spite of all the commotion, Recruit gradually learns more about his lover Nino and the story that shaped her.

Final episode hits so hard 😭💥 Maria vs Sister chaos was peak ⚔️😂 and that river wish moment with Kou and Nino was actually really sweet 🥹💌🌊. Somehow silly and emotional 😭 at the same time, perfect ending vibe ✨🎬
The Chief turning everything into a “strongest fighter” tournament is so on-brand, and the balloon match had me laughing way too hard while also feeling tense. Just nonstop absurd energy from start to finish.
The Bon Festival brings a mix of humor and light romance as Hoshi and Amazoness end up crossing paths in unexpected ways. The beach shack plan adds funny tension, while Kou and Nino moments keep things calm and sweet overall.
A delivery mix-up had me worried for a second 😭 then it just turned into classic Arakawa chaos. The tea gathering with everyone trying to sound deep was hilarious. Kou and Hoshi acting like experts when they clearly aren’t made me laugh the whole time.
Spa arc with Kou and the Mayor had me laughing the whole time and the girls’ strict diet situation was pure chaos. Then the Metal Brothers moment suddenly turning into a weirdly intense rivalry.
This episode is pure Arakawa chaos from start to finish! The Amazoness shows up again and things immediately spiral, and even Rec ends up acting super out of character while everyone around him tries to deal with it. Hilarious and wild the whole way through
Kou and Hoshi literally turning a checkup into a “who’s more sick for Nino” contest had me crying 😭 and that basement endurance week with Sister got oddly serious. Then Kou pulling out P-ko’s logbook… secondhand embarrassment max.
This episode starts feeling serious with Nino’s past getting closer to the surface, but of course Arakawa turns it into chaos again 😭 Kou tries to take it in, while everyone else reacts in the most unhinged, unexpected way possible. Funny, tense, and weirdly emotional.
this episode was such a wholesome mess 😭 Maestro being a famous manga artist and his editor drama was hilarious. Billy & Jacqueline’s anniversary was so sweet. Arakawa stays chaotic but emotional.
P-Ko trying to make a movie was pure disaster energy 😭 Kou losing control of the cast while Takai’s editing turned everything insane had me dying. The haunted house segment was hilarious too 👻✨
Kou finding Nino’s mysterious cassette tapes had me SO invested 😭 The telephone pole scene was weirdly emotional, and Hoshi being chaotic as always made everything even funnier. This episode balanced comedy and heartfelt moments perfectly without losing the classic Arakawa weirdness.
This episode was SO unhinged 😭 The Amazon Warrior acting like a snack-addicted anime boss had me dying, and Kou getting humbled again was priceless. Nino’s creepy-friendly welcome absolutely sent me 💀
The season opener is so chaotic! Ric tried to move in with Nino, but things went differently, and Hoshi’s jealousy is unmatched. The marathon scenes were ridiculously funny.
There is no concept of a mundane day at the bridge and today is no different, with a tournament of kings being hosted. Each round results in elimination of the competitors. Temporary truces and alliances are formed, and the competitive spirit is high!!
All the characters are dressed so beautifully in their kimonos for the festival, especially Nino, who Rec and Hoshi cannot take their eyes off. Amazon's resolve to win over Rec and beat Nino is somewhat terrifying and impressive.
It turns out that the rocket which was meant to carry the river residents has a weight limit. Naturally, no one wants to be left behind and diets and ways to reduce weight are underway. Rec in a baby tee is sending me honestly.
Misunderstandings were working overtime for this one. What Rec assumed to be a double suicide pact turned out to be an unexpected sport practise. Later, P-ko's tea party quickly turns into cup breaking chaos.
A new student shows up in Rec's classroom lectures and he is not pleased. Classes aren't the same anymore with a one sided teacher-student romance in the air.
The river residents are testing their BMI's and some rather interesting results, are popping up, from propeller in suit to suffering from true love. Rec also notices a surprising change related to his asthma attacks from the results.
Shimazaki is under pressure big time due to certain investigations she needs to fulfil by orders of Rec's father. After some contact with her parents, Nino gives Rec some upsetting news. The emotional moments hit hard, much like the comedic light hearted ones, but in opposing ways of course.
