Ugh, this episode is such a beautiful, bittersweet slow burn. We finally get the deep-dive lore and emotional depth needed to flesh out Anne’s traumatic past. Even if the pacing dragged a bit during the farm chores and the green gables intro felt lowkey tense, the character dynamics are already fire.
A wholesome episode. Anne is totally showing her honest feelings and emotions. The first half showed her bold and upsetting attitude toward her first interaction with Rachel. The music when Anne apologized to Rachel was perfectly funny. The pacing kind of slowed down with the introduction of Diana. And, the animation remained smooth.
We got to meet both Mrs.Lynde and Diana!! Those two are some of my favourite characters from Diana's kindness and Mrs.Lynde's drama. This episode introduces us to the area which Green Gables lies with dynamics forming.
