It iss a tender interaction between the characters, and how they gradually get to know each other and relate to one another; it's one of those slow-paced anime that are enjoyed for their simplicity. over all this episode

A cute episode. The main characters are slowly changing because of each other's influence in a good way.

Episode Context

Coming off the premiere's introduction of Futaba's move to a seaside town and her fateful meeting with Hikari, this second episode deepens their dynamic before the Diving Club formally enters the picture. It's foundational relationship-building, establishing the trust and curiosity between the two leads that will anchor every underwater adventure and personal milestone across the remaining ten episodes. Think of it as the emotional groundwork the entire season will draw from.
