I like how we explored more land outside the empire. This is a heartwarming truce between two groups as they share a common enemy. The character writing between Tatsumi and Esdeath was so cute, once enemies now allies type of trope.

I really like Blos character. The subplots are introduced to carry depth to the narrative in this episode. Sharing stories was a good trait that is used here quite carefully. Funny scenes, fruitful animation and the pace, everything is good in this episode.

We got a deeper glance into Lubbock past and mentality, it's not critical plot wise but the added weight to his character is nice. Picking up from the last episode epilogue, we discover more regarding the new species danger beast and their origin.
