The enemy of my enemy is my friend! Kei realizes he can't defeat Satō alone, so allying with Tosaki seems like a good idea. The cold, calculated way Kei negotiates this alliance confirms that he is a unique protagonist.

A great way to start this new season, as it changes the status quo right away. There isn’t much action, and there’s a lot of dialogue, but the plot thickens and moves forward.

The title of this episode is such a mood, it makes sense for a bunch of these characters to be facing a similar situation as well - Tosaki already has a bunch of problems with the Ajin attack last season, and the MC and his new bestie Nakano are on the run. The season starts with a lot of tension, and the pacing is pretty engaging throughout. We finally see two unlikely sides come together, and it seems like Nagai's weird personality is given a bit of opportunity to be showcased.
