QUICK TAKES

The series really wrapped up well with this episode. The dramatic tension between them is gone, they are back to their usual selves, and, most importantly, their characters developed nicely. That said, the tease at the end was perfect. I mean, the way it took advantage of the plot was a really nice finishing touch. On another note, I found the slideshow-style animation kind of funny—It was just so cute. The visuals in this episode may have been simple, but they were clean and vivid.

Bello y adorable final de temporada. El ritmo estuvo bien, me gustó que pudieran por fin decir las cosas y me reí bastante con algunos momentos

I don't mind the slow burn build up of the romance in this series. Even if it has a bit of an open ending, it still managed to make me smile and keep me compelled by its subtle development and plot progression. It was also wise to include those exciting romantic highlights from the previous episodes, allowing me to feel the lingering emotions left behind while watching. Honestly, this may not have the full satisfaction that I have been waiting for, and it leaves me wanting more, yet it is still a good finale.

This is a sweet final episode. Hoping there will be a genuine confession, but at the very least, the relationship between Miku and Yukiya has grown deeper and closer. Can't wait to see the next season.

This finale doesn't give us the confession everyone was waiting for, but it does show just how much Miku and Yukiya mean to each other. Their relationship has clearly grown, even if they're still too stubborn to admit it.

I was rooting for a confession, but the episode stays true to the series by ending with another draw in the Love Game. It's equal parts wholesome and painfully frustrating what the heck

If you wanted a full confession, you'll probably leave frustrated. If you enjoy slow-burn romance, this finale gives you plenty to smile about lol

I really felt for Miku when she was folding those hydrangeas, because the lighting in the classroom made everything feel so heavy and permanent.

Watching Yukiya make a pink daifuku that looked like Miku was the cutest thing he has done all season and Natsumi teasing him for it was perfect

That ending under the stars made the whole season worth it and seeing them walk under one umbrella was a great way to close things out

I think that confession was finally the real deal and it felt so different from the usual game rounds especially when Miku started crying in the classroom

The focus on the traditional sweets and the meaning of the hydrangeas made the confession feel so much more grounded, and it was nice to see Yukiya finally being the man Miku deserves

I was not expecting them to actually end the love game this early but the way they both said those three words in the sunset light was everything I wanted

Seeing Miku get all flustered over the cheerleader daydream was too cute and the way she talked to Kai about the kiss showed how much this is actually affecting her

The way Yukiya just dropped the act and said he wouldn't mind being her family was such a massive moment and it feels so right for them to end the game there

My heart was melting when they were under the umbrella at the end and I just want a second season announced right now because I need to see them as a real couple

It was so sweet seeing Yukiya make that little pink daifuku just for Miku and his sister catching them was hilarious, but the ending in the classroom really took the cake for me. I was expecting more of a struggle or a joke but they both just being honest about the family meaning behind those flowers felt like such a huge step.

You really see how much Miku loves him when she starts daydreaming about being a cheerleader and then the way they finally finished the game in that classroom was just beautiful

I finally got to see Yukiya stop acting like a brick and just tell her how he feels and that origami scene was so quiet and perfect for them

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the twelfth and final episode of the season, this is the culmination of Yukiya and Miku's slow-burn push-and-pull dynamic that has driven every episode. Episode 11 is expected to deliver the emotional peak before the finale, making Episode 12 the resolution — the moment the 'love game' either ends or transforms into something real. There is no next episode to set up; this is the closing statement on their story.
