Episode Context

This episode lands directly after one of the season's most dramatically charged matches, the solo finals clash between Reika 'Madame Butterfly' Ryuuzaki and Ranko 'The Orchid' Midorikawa, and functions as a necessary decompression point before the second half accelerates. It uses the post-victory celebration to reposition key characters, particularly Kyoko Otowa, whose choices here carry ripple effects into upcoming episodes. At the midpoint of a 26-episode season, this is the show resetting the board.
