This episode slows everything down in the best way. Watching Hiromi struggle while Maki stays by her side feels incredibly genuine. It's emotional without needing big drama, making every quiet moment count.

A beautifully somber episode that focuses on healing instead of tennis. The seaside atmosphere, heartfelt conversations, and Hiromi's emotional journey create a touching experience.

Its kind sad of what happen but knowing the main character spirit, I’m sure she can handle it.

Episode Context

Positioned at episode 7 of 13, this episode arrives directly after 'Goodbye, Coach,' which saw a pivotal mentor figure depart and leave the team without its guiding presence. 'Into Sadness' sits in the emotional aftermath of that loss, functioning as the series' grief chapter before the back half of the season can redirect toward renewed motivation and forward momentum. It's a necessary bridge, the kind of episode that determines whether character growth in later episodes will feel earned.
