Coming off 'Please Determine That for Yourself,' where the Freeden crew encountered a white dolphin and began wrestling with the possibility of another GX and Newtype somewhere across the ocean, this episode pushes that thread beneath the surface, literally. Sitting at the series' midpoint, Episode 18 marks a pivot toward the show's deeper mythological and historical mysteries. It directly sets up 'I Feel Like I'm Dreaming,' where the crew must reckon with what they've uncovered and what it means for the road ahead.
