Shuji finding her at her lowest point changed the whole dynamic and it felt like they finally crossed over from just being physical into something real

The way this show handles adult burnout is heavy, especially when Mio was just standing there in the rain looking completely lost

I love how Shuji stayed with her while she was losing it instead of making it weird and his comment about it being a bad day was actually pretty sweet

That scene in the rain was brutal because everyone knows that feeling of being totally overwhelmed by everything at once and just breaking down

Crying in the rain really got to me and seeing Mio that stressed about work made the whole thing feel so much more grounded than a normal smut series

that cliffhanger is brutal and you just know shuuji is going to have a hard time opening up in the next one

post sex talking scenes are where the real development happens and having them actually communicate for once was my favorite bit

mio needs to stop overthinking and just enjoy the moment because shuuji was clearly trying to be nice for once

that one shot of their hands together was a great touch and it says so much about where they are at now

It is crazy how much chemistry they cram into such a tiny runtime and it was easy to feel for Mio when she started questioning if this was just a physical thing or something more. The dialogue in the hotel room felt a lot more grounded than the usual stuff you see in these shorts, and seeing Shuuji actually look flustered for once really made the whole scene feel special.

shuuji letting his guard down for a split second made me think he cares about her more than he admits

having mio show some real emotion instead of just being professional made that hotel scene feel way more real

Shuuji is such a jerk but seeing how he looks at Mio when they are alone is surprisingly sweet

I really liked how Mio didn't let Shuuji talk down to her at dinner, even if the episode was way too short.

three minutes is not enough time for these two because the tension was building up so well and then it just ended

Seeing Arai totally lose his mind while Kobeni went full psycho was such a shock because he looked so brave at the start but he is clearly just a kid out of his depth

I didn't think I would get so invested in Hananoi finally dropping his mask and showing how flustered he gets around Hotaru. It makes him feel way more human than that perfect guy act he usually puts on. It was really nice seeing how much of a positive influence she actually is on him when he starts blushing like that.

Watching Akari and Jiro actually start to trust each other outside of that stupid school marriage assignment made their chemistry feel way more real

Reneko recording that kiss with Satsuki felt so fake and manipulative and it makes you wonder if she even cares about anything besides her own plan

I really felt for Himeno when she lost her cool and tried to throw Denji under the bus just to keep Aki safe because her shell finally cracked and it was so painful to watch

EPISODE CONTEXT

With only one episode remaining after this, Episode 7 functions as the series' climax point — the moment where the central relationship reaches its most defining stage before any resolution or closure arrives in the finale. Everything built across the prior six episodes, the hesitation, the growing closeness, and the fumbling attempts at adult connection, converges here. Episode 8 will likely deliver the emotional landing, making this episode the essential setup that determines whether that ending feels earned.
