Shuuji is such a jerk sometimes but you see a softer side to him in the bedroom scenes and it makes the romance feel a bit more real than other shows

I keep telling myself I'm only watching this for the plot, but Mio and Shuuji have such a weirdly grounded dynamic that I actually find myself rooting for them as a couple and the premium version definitely makes the chemistry feel more believable, and the art in this specific episode felt like a step up from the last few weeks of animation

The short runtime is kind of annoying because you just get into the mood and then it ends right when the chemistry between them starts getting really intense

You can tell Mio is starting to fall for him even if she says she is just in it for the physical stuff and the way Shuuji looks at her is pretty telling

I was waiting for things to get more serious between Mio and Shuuji and this episode delivered on the heat because the animation in the hotel scene actually looked good this time

the power dynamic shifted so fast when Shuuji realized his smooth talk wasn't working on Mio and he had to actually be sincere

you can really tell they both want this to be more than just a physical thing and the awkward seduction talk just proves it

the ending scene in the premium version definitely delivered and seeing Mio finally let her guard down was a nice change of pace

I really liked how this episode focused on the way they both think about their method instead of just jumping into the sheets right away. Seeing Mio get flustered by Shuuji's attempt at being a smooth talker was cute, and it feels more like a real adult relationship where everyone is just faking confidence until they actually get comfortable.

I felt the spark when Shuuji tried to play it cool only to have Mio completely see through his act and call him out

most of these shows just rush to the fanservice but the way they focus on how bad they are at dating makes the physical stuff better

These two are supposed to be professional adults, and even though they act cool, the way they overthink a simple hotel stay is the most charming part of the show.

the whole seduction plan backfiring was the highlight because seeing these two adults pretend they have it all figured out is just too relatable

Shuuji trying to act like he has some secret method to get Mio in bed is hilarious because they both know they are just making it up as they go

I was laughing at how clumsy Mio gets when things actually start happening and that awkward energy makes the hotel scenes feel much more real

Watching Mio try to act all professional even though she was clearly thinking about their time together was so relatable, and watching her struggle to stay focused was hilarious

That look Shuuji gave Mio made me smile because she realized he was not just some arrogant guy and actually had some depth to him

How Shuuji acted while they were trying to figure out their feelings made me happy because he actually seemed to care about what Mio was thinking instead of just being a jerk

This series is actually kind of refreshing because we get adults who are successful but just totally lost when it comes to romance, and that moment where Shuuji dropped his consultant persona to be vulnerable with Mio was great and the way they are slowly realizing that they actually like each other as people makes the spicy scenes feel way more earned

You really get the sense that they are both just lonely people finding a connection and that one shot of them holding hands in the dark hit way harder than expected

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 4 marks the exact halfway point of the season, making it a natural turning point where early-stage tension and hesitation give way to deeper emotional and physical commitment between the leads. The groundwork laid in Episodes 1 through 3 — character introductions, initial attraction, and escalating closeness — positions this episode as a pivot before the back half raises the stakes further. What happens here likely sets the emotional trajectory for Episodes 5 through 8, where consequences and deeper feelings tend to come into focus.
