Lotta Hart and Phoenix really do make for this cute, unhinged team. This case really reminds me of the second episode. I believe Phoenix will be able to prove her innocence. Kimiko seems awfully bent on getting Maya out of the way - just an observation. The introductions of the characters are pretty well done, and the mystery grabs your attention quite well.
Wow the color gradient was so nice. I think the animation improved from last time. And things got escalated real quick but I still believe in Mayoi. I wonder what's gonna be Naruhudo's deduction from this case. This makes me wonder and think about the possible cases.
Compared to the overall 1st cour, it feels like I'm watching an actual anime instead of a shot-to-shot adaptation from the game. Perhaps it helps that the setting isn't during the trial, but there was a lot of moving parts during the investigation that keeps me engage while the mystery keeps me on my toes.
